When did the flowering of the path begin? Well it would have to have been with the birth of Ava, so precious and pudgy with her jet black eyes and chubby wrists. A sight to see. We traveled a well worn path with our beautiful little water pot, then we met and fell in love with a water pot that was not so perfect and we call her Lila. Precious as her sister, pudgy to a point but all together different. I remember in the delivery suite looking at her and then looking at my husband, his face all lit up with love and soaking in every detail of his newest daughter, I felt perplexed. Why was she still covered in the white coating? Why were her eyes so puffy? Why do I feel scared. Nothing abnormal from the doctor....everyone saying how beautiful and healthy 7lbs and 11oz, I should feel ok, why don't I. Everything will feel "right" once she is brought back from being cleaned up and not looking like a piece of chewed up bubble gum. HHHmmmm. "We had to scrub her twice to get all the coating off", "were you at least 2 weeks early?" "we can't seem to quiet her in the nursery", "she is not latching on very well, have you breast fed before"? HHHmmmm.

Welcome to our little WS community! I've only been blogging for about two months, but I already know you'll love the support you find here. Your family looks healthy and beautiful!
As for your beginning, it so mirrors my experience with Abbi. You found the words for what I remember feeling a little over a year ago!
