Lila Gabriella Rich 6 years old

I simply cannot believe our youngest child is now 6 years old. It has certainly been some hard earlier years but I can say the past year has been like a book, reading one page at a time very slowly. Lila has grown by leaps and bounds, not just physically but emotionally and functionally. I do not like to speak about her only in terms of accomplishments but as a mother I love that she is maturing and blossoming. My husband, her daddy has always seemed to be so at ease with her diagnosis and development, I myself still have my times of sorrow and grief. I found myself almost at tears today and not really sure why, I can only assume it is a mixture of all the things that have happened. Tests for Lila, work, hurricane, John's job, Lila's birthday etc. etc. My positivity must come back, I must find it and grab it and hold tight.
I have so very much to be thankful for and one of the most important is Lila Gabriella Rich, our beautiful 6 year old daughter, one of God's most precious angels from Heaven.

Lila you are full of joy, but on mornings when you would rather keep you head buried deep in your soft pillows you are real rat:) You bring happiness to strangers and friends alike. You are a stubborn handful and a fighter for what you want, even if it really isn't yours. You bring us out of our shells to experience the goodness in other people and to realize the uncertainty of others. Pure love is what you are and we are grateful. We love you with all our hearts our most beautiful baby. Happy Birthday my love.
