Well Easter was a great time, the weather was a little warm but all in all a great day. Lots of wonderful food, hilarious conversations with cousins, hugging on aunts and uncles and assorted friends. We even got to celebrate a young man's birthday! Woohoo Zachery is now the big 13, wow a teenager in our midst once again. Most important my girls got to hang out with all of them. With both my parents gone it can be bittersweet. I try to focus on the good of these events but it can be highly emotional for me. I love my family, they are a great group of funny, boisterous, loving people and here are a few pics of them.
Bright and early this morning I had an appointment with Lila's Special Ed teacher, she is a veteran of Special Education and a great woman. Lila has been having a few issues lately with behavior and focus. We spoke of how Lila is who she is which is a drama queen and also how she is really a typical kindergardner. I know this can be hard for me since this is her 2nd year in Kindergarden and I feel she should be farther along with her emotions and focus. She gave me a few items to work on with Lila. Reading and role playing being priority. Not sure how I am supposed to squeeze this in but we love our little chick and make it work. So it seems I have had a little dusty gray cloud follow me most of today and I have tried to shoo it away but it has some staying power evidently. Sigh........I know I am not alone in feeling overwhelmed but it sure the heck feels like it right now.
